Return Policy
At Akins Online, LLC, I want you to be happy with your purchase from this unique collection. Because most items are used and one-of-a-kind (often from a personal family collection), my policy is designed to be fair while protecting inventory.

Returns for "Not as Described": Accepted within 14 days of delivery. This includes significant discrepancies in condition (e.g., more damage than listed, missing pages, mold, or wrong edition). Please contact me prior to leaving feedback with photos of damage (Please include page numbers for books) and your order number (including the platform name if not purchased directly through the website). We (my spouse and friends who help on occasion) try to be thorough with evaluating the inventory, but some things slip through inadvertently while trying to list things in a timely manner to get a decent sized stock.

Accidental purchase of incorrect item: If you find that you purchase the incorrect item on accident, refund request MUST be made the same day. I try to pack and ship the items the same day or next day with the max time being 3-5 business days. If the request for refund comes before the item is shipped, it will be honored so that you can purchase the correct item. If the request for a refund comes after the item is shipped, and it falls under this category, the policy for returns stated below is followed.

Change of preference: Not accepted. I encourage you to review detailed descriptions and multiple photos before purchasing. If you're interested in a product, and it has not yet been updated with a detailed description, please contact me, and I can let you know more about it. You also have the option of bookmarking the item and come back at a later date. I am currently working to get the shop up and running again after it had to be put on hold for a time due to family emergency. Now the shop is getting an overhaul, and some previous issues are being straightened out.
Return Process:

Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and must ship the item back in the same condition received (with packaging to prevent further damage).

Once I receive and inspect the book, I will issue a full refund to your original payment method (minus any original shipping costs I paid) if the claim is valid.
I reserve the right to offer store credit instead of a cash refund for valid returns.
Non-Returnable Items: Books with signs of use after receipt (e.g., markings added by buyer, bent pages from reading), or items clearly described with photos showing wear consistent with age/condition grade.
Exceptions: I will always work with you on rare cases involving shipping damage or major errors on our end, such as the presence of odors that weren't described in the updated descriptions. I am doing my best to make sure that any odors are noted in the description when detectable to me. Returns for undisclosed strong odors will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All returns must be approved in advance via email. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted. I appreciate your understanding as a small online bookstore liquidating a personal collection. Questions? Contact me anytime.
